Yarrabilba, a master-planned community located 40 km southeast of Brisbane, is a key growth area for South East Queensland. KN Group has been the Principal Civil Consulting Engineers for various precincts since 2010, contributing to the design of over 4,800 residential lots and overseeing the construction of more than 3,600, currently home to approximately 10,500 residents.

With the project set for completion in 2042, KN Group continues to play a vital role in the development of essential infrastructure, including major roads, sewer pump stations, and trunk water systems. Our commitment to sustainable engineering supports Yarrabilba’s long-term vision, helping to create a thriving, future-focused community that will serve as a model for sustainable urban development.

KN Group has played a crucial role in the development of infrastructure, including major roads, sewer pump stations and trunk water infrastructure. Innovative solutions have been a hallmark of KN Group’s involvement. Negotiations led to the successful implementation of an alternate pressure–gravity hybrid reticulation system. This system, featuring a specialised air valve arrangement, has not only reduced the number of traditional sewer manholes but has also increased line lengths between inspection openings. Remarkably, this approach has allowed for the retention of more trees along the route.
